Having had the same opening statement for some time, new website new opening statement.. If you haven't been to one of my Motown Nights, the first question you will no doubt ask is what is "Kevin Lane's Motown" all about?

Well I try and ensure that everyone who comes to the "Motown" has a great night out, and goes away happy and is keen to come back and do it all over again. Over the years so many people have commented about the friendly atmosphere. I strive to keep that feeling going. I specialise in atmosphere.

Musically I have always been pretty much the same, recently somebody called the night "Mainly Motown" and "Mostly Motown". I think both of those descriptions are pretty much correct. Motown is the base of my musical policy, with bits of other genres thrown in as well including a bit of 70's maybe a few of the more popular Northern tracks and even a few Oldies. Can I stress that I am not a Northern Soul night, and you won't hear a load of obscure tracks. I just try to give you music you will remember and can dance too. As the saying goes "Bringing on Back The Good Times, you can't beat nostalgia.

So if you have not been before give it a try, I'm sure that you will be pleasantly surprised. After one visit maybe the second question you will ask yourself is, how in heavens name have I missed this over the years. To all the people who have been many times before - thanks gang I'm nothing without you. Kevin.
